The top matches for WWE's Cyber Sunday PPV on 10/28 are expected to be:
- John Cena vs. Randy Orton with fans voting for the stipulation. Hell in the cell, lumber jack, and a third gimmick match will likely be the choices.
- Batista vs. The Undertaker vs. Mark Henry vs. The Great Khali with fans voting for the special guest referee: "Rowdy" Roddy Piper, Mick Foley or Steve Austin.
Well now no Cena, Orton's champ whose gonna be in the main event HHH? Or will this be a goood debut point for Jericho? Cyber Sunday fits with the style of the promos...
What's the point in that. We know Ortan is going to beat who ever we pick. They should've taken notice from the online poll and put The Big Valbowski in there. I could think up at least 3 ideas off the top of my head for a Venis Title run.
And each one seriously disturb me before you post it...
Not in the perverted "Vince Russo" sence of the word. But in the storyline, I'd go for wouldn't be unsimiler to the Rocky series.
An underdog that has been given a chance and takes him to the limit. The champion gets annoyed when people say that he was lucky he won. Then in a rubber match he wins by the skin of his teeth. Then he has to take on all comes to Prove himself.
I think it would work, it might add some prestigue to the title as well :P
The first Cyber Sunday (or taboo tuesday then) was a pretty cool idea and actually had some decent options to vote for in several of the matches, but this show its quite clear who the company want the fans vote for, i really doubt either Jeff or Kennedy is going to get a title shot against orten over a returning HBK and who wants to see Big daddy v or the Miz wrestle for the ecw title?

Batista will defend the WWE World Title against The Undertaker with fans picking the special guest referee out of Steve Austin, Mick Foley and JBL. It's going to Be Austin obviously, but I think JBL could be with a shout. They dropped Piper after he made some comments about hinking it was a crap idea or something, Vince found out and dropped him off the card.
1. Matt Hardy vs MVP - fans choose stipulation from wrestling match, boxing match or MMA match 2. Rey Mysterio vs. Finlay - Stretcher match, No DQ or Shillaleigh on a Pole match 3. As announced on RAW, it will be HHH vs Umaga in either a Steel Cage, First Blood match or Streetfight.
if they go for MMA fight will 'Big' John McCarthy be brought in to officiate?
WWE Championship Fans'Choice WWE Champion Randy Orton will be at the mercy of you, our fans, at this years Cyber Sunday. You will decide who Orton will defend his newly-won WWE Championship against Intercontinental Champion Jeff Hardy, the ever-driven Mr. Kennedy or the incomparable Shawn Michaels.
If he should take on Hardy, Orton would face a multi-time Intercontinental and World Tag Team Champion who hasnt had many opportunities at a singles World Championship in his career. The Rainbow-haired Warrior is hungry, unorthodox and willing to take any chance to shock the world and win the WWE Championship - and that could put Orton's title reign in jeopardy.
Mr. Kennedy has said time and again that he is the future of WWE and is anxious to prove his point. He is a former Mr. Money in the Bank winner and primed and ready to seize his World Championship opportunity until injury and an opportunistic Edge took it away from him. Kennedy has been seething ever since. The loudmouth from Green Bay, Wis., has defeated seven World Champions in his career. He believes he is among the elite if not the elite of the elite in all of WWE. Winning the WWE Championship would show the world loud and clear that Mr. Kennedys time is now.
Shawn Michaels might just be the Superstar Orton would least like to face. The Legend Killer thought he saw a ghost when HBK made a surprise return to Raw and crashed his appreciation ceremony with some Sweet Chin Music. Many experts and Orton believed he had ended Michaels career at Judgment Day last May when he gave him a severe concussion. But HBK, showing the heart and courage that has defined his career, is back and ready for revenge. And he cant think of a better way to destroy Orton than by taking away his WWE Championship.
Who will face Orton for the WWE Championship on Sunday, Oct. 28? Its up to you. You have the power. Make your voice heard and vote on WWE.com, and dont miss Cyber Sunday, live on pay-per-view at 8/7 CT.

World Heavyweight Championship Match choose the guest referee
The World Heavyweight Championship is on the line at Cyber Sunday, and you the fans will choose which one of three former World Champions is the special guest referee. On Oct. 28 in Washington, D.C., it will be hometown hero Batista defending his gold against Undertaker, and you will decide whether Mick Foley, Stone Cold Steve Austin or JBL is the man in the middle.
Since making his return from injury at Unforgiven, Undertaker has set his sights squarely on regaining the World Heavyweight Championship he was robbed of back in May. In fact, it was after a rematch against Batista whom The Phenom defeated at WrestleMania 23 to win the gold that Undertaker was wiped out and injured by Mark Henry, leaving Edge to take advantage of the situation and win the title.
But if anyone knows about undergoing a quest after surrendering the World Heavyweight Championship, its Batista. After relinquishing the title in January 2006 and spending half the year on the shelf, The Animal tore through SmackDown for four months before regaining the gold at Survivor Series. Then, once again this year, Batista went through the same quest from WrestleMania 23 to Unforgiven, when he finally toppled then-champion The Great Khali to become a three-time titlist.
Heading into the bout, The Animal and The Phenom may both be fan favorites, but there is no love lost between the two men. Undertaker wants his gold back, a point he emphasized on the Oct. 12 Friday Night SmackDown by interrupting a No. 1 Contenders Match and laying out both Finlay and Rey Mysterio before intensely staring down Batista.
While we know the combatants, its up to you who will count the winning pinfall. Will it be Hardcore Legend Mick Foley? How about the Texas Rattlesnake, Stone Cold? Perhaps SmackDowns current color commentator and self-proclaimed wrestling god, JBL, is more your taste? One of those three men will don the stripes at Cyber Sunday, and you get to assign him the task.
Will Undertaker regain the gold, or will The Animal continue his hot streak and finally crack the win column against The Phenom? And who will award the winner the World Heavyweight Championship when all is said and done? It's up to you to provide that final answer, so cast your vote now.
ECW Championship Match Fans' choice
The competition never ends when you wear championship gold around your waist, but with Cyber Sunday, that competition also remains a true surprise until just moments before the bell rings. ECW Champion CM Punk will learn this first-hand as he prepares as best he can for an opponent, decided by you, the WWE Fan Nation, as part of the most interactive pay-per-view event of the year.
Coming off a damaging contest against Big Daddy V at No Mercy, the Straightedge Superstar could soon be stepping into a rematch with the 500-pound machine of destruction at Cyber Sunday. Punk still holds the ECW Championship despite the massive mauling on pay-per-view, but his ribs may not quite heal before what could be another encounter with the most dominant force in ECW history.
And speaking of ECW history, another possible opponent for Punk could very well be the man he captured the ECW Title from just over one month ago: John Morrison. These two Superstars have a rich history that entailed several months of arduous battle for the gold. Could these two reignite that rivalry at Cyber Sunday?
The final choice in the voting for the ECW Championship Match maintains a small connection with Punk. In addition to their relevance to the champion, C and M are also the initials for self-proclaimed chick magnet. The Miz has earned a number of impressive victories during his tenure in the Land of the Extreme. Might our fans voting yield the faux-hawked Casanovas first-time opportunity at a major title?
No matter who the WWE Fan Nation selects as the man to face CM Punk for the gold, the ECW Champion who craves competition will have that passion satisfied come Cyber Sunday.
The rivalry between Triple H and Umaga is about more than competition. It has become a blood feud, where each man has tried to end each others career. They have been relentless on each other, and at Cyber Sunday, you, our fans, will decide the next chapter in their war and determine whether they will battle in a Steel Cage Match, a First Blood Match or a Street Fight.
Umaga has been determined to demolish Triple H since The Game bloodied and put him out with steel chair and sledgehammer attack on Raw in early September. The Samoan Bulldozer and Carlito attempted to injure The Cerebral Assassin in a Handicap Match, but The Game took out his fury on Umaga, leaving him face-down in a pool of his own blood.
The beast from Samoa got some measure of revenge when he pulverized Triple Hs ribs during their match at No Mercy, contributing to the loss of his WWE Championship later that night to Randy Orton in a Last Man Standing Match. The next night on Raw, Umaga brutalized an already-injured 11-time World Champion as no one ever has, leaving him broken and barely able to stand after a Handicap Match with him and Orton.
With Umaga and Triple H, you have two Superstars who are as tough as a $2 steak, as Good Ol J.R. likes to say. Both are fearless and know no backup and bring out the sadistic monsters in one another. Neither Triple H nor the Samoan Bulldozer are afraid to tap into the dark, primeval corners of their mind and have shown they are willing to do anything to destroy each other.
So, whether you elect to have Triple H and Umaga fight in a steel cage, try to draw first blood or wage war in a Street Fight, one thing is certain: There will be a hellacious war of wars at Cyber Sunday. Be sure to find out how your vote counted at Cyber Sunday on Oct. 28, live on pay-per-view at 8/7 CT.
Over the last few months, WWE Tag Team Champions MVP & Matt Hardy have battled in numerous challenges. From push-ups to pizza eating to basketball and beyond, theyve done pretty much everything short of tiddlywinks and Monopoly in an attempt to prove who the better man is.
At Cyber Sunday, it wont be up to the WWE Tag Team Champions to determine their competition; thats where you, the fans, step in. All MVP & Hardy know is that they will battle against each other in another one of their competitions. What kind? Well, thats for you to choose, as the WWE Fan Nation will decide whether the champs do battle in a Wrestling Match, Boxing Match or Mixed Martial Arts Match.
MVP & Hardy have plenty of experience inside the wrestling ring, but the sweet science and MMA are two completely new disciplines for the WWE Tag Team Champions. In fact, Hardys Boxing Match with Evander Holyfield at Saturday Nights Main Event a bout in which MVP was scheduled to compete, but replaced himself with Holyfield is either mans only experience in those two areas.
So, will you, the fans, vote for a Wrestling Match and let both men compete in their comfort zone for a change? Will the WWE Fan Nation stuff the ballot in an attempt to see the Boxing Match that MVP backed out of? Or will Cyber Sunday see both mens first foray into the world of Kimuras, Keylocks and Guillotine Chokes? VOTE NOW...
Thats for you to decide, because right now, only one thing about this match is for sure: Its going to be a barnburner, no matter what.
Rey Mysterio vs. Finlay choose the stipulation
With so much bad blood between Rey Mysterio and Finlay over the past few months, its not surprising that it will spill once more at Cyber Sunday. Though how it may spill will be up to you, our fans, to decide.
When the Master of the 619 and the Irishman meet one-on-one in the squared circle for the pay-per-view, our fans will have chosen one of three contest stipulations: A Stretcher Match, a Shillelagh on a Pole Match or No Disqualification. Unfortunately for Rey, however, all three provisos could well favor the Celtic combatant.
During his No Mercy confrontation with Mysterio, Finlay feigned serious injury so that he could be stretchered out by EMTs, then viciously assaulted an unsuspecting Rey from behind. We already know just how naturally adept Finlay is with the blackthorn wooded cudgel, so unless Mysterios aerial attack can beat him to the top of the pole, the Irishman will have the handiest advantage here. Then again, Finlays a Belfast-born brawler who loves to fight; if our fans vote on a No Disqualification clause, then a match where everything goes could place the Irishman in his most dangerous element.
Of course, Finlay would do equally well to remember that Rey Mysterio is a former World Champion, with just as much if not more fight than anyone in WWE. And following Finlays shenanigans at No Mercy, the masked Superstar wont show any compassion should he inflict harm on his Irish adversary at Cyber Sunday. He already demonstrated that despite a no-contest decision during their No. 1 Contenders Match on SmackDown, and hes certain to stick to that game plan at Cyber Sunday regardless of which game plan you choose for the two Superstars. VOTE NOW
Matt Hardy suffered a 7 inch gash that required 35 stitches to lose last night in Kansas City at the TV tapings. He was giving Rey Mysterio a splash mountain and Mysterio's knee brace caught him in the head. He was bleeding buckets and they had to stop the show to change the mat because of all the blood. At this point, his status for Cyber Sunday is uncertain.
Prediction Time!!!! - With two parts to every prediction!
* Orton v. (Hardy, Kennedy or HBK) - Orton will win Im sure, although could be a DQ ending for HBK. Cant See anyone else winning the vote. Oh and Jericho should make his appearance at some point during the match.
* Punk v. (Daddy V, Morrison, or Miz) - It's going to be a close run thing but I think Fat Daddy V will edge it, but he'll lose the match. If Morrison gets the nod then Punk is dropping the title.
* Batista v. Undertaker (ref: Foley, Austin or JBL) - Can anyone see anyone other than Stone Cold (YAawn) getting the nod? I think taker will win by screw job finish (DQ/Count Out or Austin inspired no contest)
* MVP v. Hardy (Boxing, Wrestling or MMA) - Anyone with any sense will vote for Wrestling. The other two types of match dont work for the WWE. I think Hardy will lose but then move to uypper mid card matches.
* Umaga v. HHH (Cage, First Blood, or Streetfight) - Umagas best matches recently have come from a Streetfight kinda set up (Last Man Standing), So Bionic H via destruction. I'm sure outside interference will feature at some point....
* Finlay v. Mysterio (Stretcher, No-DQ, or Shillaleigh on a Pole) - rey should take the win and the pole match will probably win jsut because no-ones seen this type of match yet. Although the No DQ option would be best.
* Divas Halloween Costume Contest - Ermm Who cares, either Torrie or McCool will get the win if its based on costumes, if its a battle royale type affair then the Glamazon all the way.
I'm also kinda hoping for Harry and the New hart foundation to appear. Long shot I know
Matt Hardy, who needed 35 stitches in his head when Rey Mysterios knee brace caught him during a move at Tuesdays Smackdown taping, is expected to wrestle MVP at Cyber Sunday as planned, wrestlingobserver.com reported.
Thumbs in the middle show. The last three matches saved it from being a DUD show as everything up until HBK v Orton had been average. A few surprises in the voting, a major change due to Matt Hardy being pulled from the show and some dodgy Diva outfits.
Results:
Stretcher Match - Rey Mysterio def Finlay (9:46) ** ¾
ECW Title Match - CM Punk def The Miz (8:50) ** ½
Bonus Match - Mr. Kennedy def Jeff Hardy (9:06) ** ½
Bonus US Tilte Match - Kane def MVP via Countout (6:39) * ¾ (Fans had to choose from Kane, Great Khali & Mark Henry)
WWE Title Match - Shawn Michaels def Randy Orton via DQ (15:53) *** ¾
Street Fight - Bionic H def Umaga (17:22) ****
Diva Hallowe'en Costume Contest - Winner: Mickie James by online vote
World Title Match - Special ref: Stone Cold - DAVE def Undertaker (17:24) ****
Cant believe how the Miz got the vote, id rather have had Big Daddy V in the match then that guy..But sounds an alright show, and having read the results, its even more shocking the taker Jobbed Clean for once!
From what Ive read it looks like we shouldn't be surprised if we see a Stone Cold Vs. JBL match (Again) in the near future. Plus I see Jericho didn't come back.... again!! I expect he'll return tonight on RAW?
According to some reports, the conculsion of that save_999 or whatever the heck it is will be at the survior series so we shouldnt expect Jericho if it is him for a while yet.
Most reports are saying tonights RAW as the TV channel (Is it SPike or USA) wanted them to do it tonight foir a bigger TV rating. Plus Jericho is in Long Island as part of his book signing tour and weirdly enough thats where RAW comes from tonight....
